When you order this coffee it will be roasted fresh for you to provide you with the freshest and best quality product possible. Carefully selected from the Antioquia region of Colombia this coffee is processed using the wet washed method. It is a combination of Caturra and Castillo varietals grown at an altitude of 5100 feet above sea level. It has a spicy and herbal flavor with a vibrant citric acidity and hint of grapes. Rated at an AA level it recieved a cupping score of 84.5 (very good!).
For maximum freshness, coffee beans are packaged shortly after roasting in resealable foil-lined bags that have a one-way valve that allows gasses to escape and keeps oxygen from entering.
A portion of all sales from this coffee is donated to benefit the student scholarship fund of the Rio Grande Bible College, an accredited Bible College on the Texas/Mexico border. All classes are in Spanish and about 90% of the student body comes from Latin American countries. www.riogrande.edu
