Your coffee is roasted after you place your order to ensure the freshest and best product possible. This microlot is grown by a farmer named José Abundio Lopez Ortiz. He grows his coffee using organic practices on a farm in Aldea El Cerrón, Guatemala at an altitude of 1600 msnm. It is processed using the fully washed method. This coffee features the Pacamara varietal, 2020/2021 harvest year . The coffee is processed and vacuum packed in 4 kilo bags for maximum freshness, since no oxygen hits the beans until just before they are roasted.

This delightful coffee has the fragrance and aroma of chocolate and red fruit. It has a medium acidity (mature sweet oranges). The aftertaste is sweet and full with a clean and balanced mouthfeel. You will experience flavors of chocolate, strawberries, blueberries and sweet orange in this creamy, bright coffee. Use it for a pourover and you will be pleased with the richness of this coffee. Receiving a cupping score of 87, it is one of the most highly rated coffee I carry and absolutely worth every penny.

To ensure maximum freshness, our roasted coffee is packaged in resealable foil-lined bags with a one way valve to let gasses escape and keep oxygen from entering.

A portion of all sales from this coffee is donated to benefit the student scholarship fund of the Rio Grande Bible College, an accredited Bible College on the Texas/Mexico border. All classes are in Spanish and about 90% of the student body comes from Latin American countries.
