Your coffee is roasted after you place your order to ensure the freshest and best product possible. This microlot is grown by a farmer named Pablo Yano. He grows his coffee using organic practices on a small farm in the Caranavi region of Bolivia at an altitude of 5,230 feet. It is processed using the wet-washed method. Varietals are Caturra and Typica. It is packaged on site in Bolivia in small GrainPro bags to assure integrity in shipping.
This delightful coffee has the rich aroma of dark chocolate, is slightly peppery with a hint of blackberry. It has a red apple acidity. It has a wonderful smooth finish. Receiving a cupping score of 86.5, it is highly rated and a personal favorite.
To ensure maximum freshness, our coffee is packaged in resealable foil-lined bags with a one way valve to let gasses escape and keep oxygen from entering.
A portion of all sales from this coffee is donated to benefit the student scholarship fund of the Rio Grande Bible College, an accredited Bible Collefe on the Texas/Mexico border. All classes are in Spanish and about 90% of the student body comes from Latin American countries. www.riogrande.edu
