Your coffee is roasted after you place your order to ensure the freshest and best product possible. This microlot is grown by a farmer named Lucio Villca. He grows his coffee using organic practices on a small farm in the Caranavi region of Bolivia at an altitude of 5,300 feet. It is processed using the fully washed method. Varietals are Tipica (30%), Caturra (20%), Catuai (20%) and Icatu (30%). It is packaged on site in Bolivia in 60 kilo GrainPro bags to assure integrity in shipping.

This delightful coffee has an herbal fragrance and the aroma of brown sugar and almonds. It has a medium citric acidity (tangerine and Meyer lemon). It has a short aftertaste and full flavor, clean and balanced, a classic Bolivian sweet flowery profile. Receiving a cupping score of 86.5, it is highly rated and a personal favorite.

To ensure maximum freshness, our coffee is packaged in resealable foil-lined bags with a one way valve to let gasses escape and keep oxygen from entering.

A portion of all sales from this coffee is donated to benefit the student scholarship fund of the Rio Grande Bible College, an accredited Bible College on the Texas/Mexico border. All classes are in Spanish and about 90% of the student body comes from Latin American countries. www.riogrande.edu
